While the touch function will be absent from the new 450S display, it is likely to have little influence on the features and operation of the scooter. Here’s a glimpse at the new-generation LCD display of the Ather 450S, which will be available on August 3.
The graphic shows that the upcoming 450S e-scooter will have an all-new colorful LCD display that has been separated into parts to provide crucial rider information.
The display provides speedometer and battery range information in the center, odometer readings in the left part, and ride mode settings in the right. The right side also implies that the 450S will have many ride modes for maximum performance or efficiency.
The motor on’ statement at the top of the display informs the rider that the scooter is ready to go. Despite upgraded display hardware, the 450S is anticipated to retain in-built Bluetooth connectivity.
The Ather 450S will be powered by a smaller 3kWh battery pack, with a projected real-world range of 115 kmph and a top speed of 90 kmph.
While the new no-touch LCD display would undoubtedly assist Ather in lowering the price of the 450S, it is still projected to be priced around Rs 1.30 lakh ex-showroom (without state subsidy). At the estimated pricing range, the 450S would be pitted against popular 125cc ICE scooters in an attempt to entice new EV owners.
