Audi India Launches Free Charging for e-Tron Customers Across India till August
Audi introduced the ‘Charge my Audi’ feature on the myAudiConnect app, which gives Audi e-tron customers access to multiple electric vehicles charging partners from a single app. ‘Charge my Audi’ is an industry-first initiative that significantly improves customer convenience.
The application’s initial release includes five well-known charging partners: Aargo EV Smart, Charge Zone, Relux Electric, LionCharge, and Zeon Charging. The Numocity Technologies eMSP roaming solution powers these partners. Audi e-tron customers will receive complimentary charging services across the network until August 2023.
The ‘Charge my Audi’ feature allows customers to plan their driving routes more efficiently by identifying charging stations along the way. Users can check the availability of charging terminals, begin and end the charging process, and make payments conveniently through a single payment gateway. On the ‘Charge my Audi’ platform, Audi e-tron owners can currently access over 750 charge points, with more locations expected to be added in the coming weeks and months.
Mr. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, commented on the announcement, emphasizing Audi India’s commitment to customer satisfaction. “‘Charge my Audi’ is a one-of-a-kind, industry-first initiative that maximizes customer convenience. Since the introduction of e-Tron to India, we have been dedicated to building a comprehensive ecosystem that supports the transition to electric mobility.”
The introduction of ‘Charge my Audi’ eliminates the need to download multiple charging applications. Customers who own an Audi e-tron can now initiate the charging process using the‘myAudiConnect App,’ while automated identification and billing processes run concurrently. Numocity Technology’s eMSP platform powered the technology and roaming platform.
Audi India currently offers a number of electric vehicles, including the Audi e-tron 50, e-tron 55, e-tron Sportback 55, e-tron GT, and RS e-tron GT. Furthermore, the new Audi Q8 e-tron will be launched in India later this year, expanding the brand’s electric vehicle lineup and reinforcing its commitment to sustainable mobility.
