Self Balancing Electric Scooter by Liger Mobility

Only a few days remain till the Auto Expo, and Mumbai-based EV startup Liger Mobility has announced that it will be demonstrating a self-balancing electric scooter. The Liger scooter’s self-balancing technology was created in-house, which makes it unique. This should not be shocking considering that Liger Mobility was created by alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), and Indian School of Business (ISB), and has a talented group of engineers.

It would be interesting to see how far the almost-ready-for-production EV has come, especially since Liger Mobility had previously shown off a pre-production model of the self-balancing scooter in 2019. Several photographs of the scooter obtained by TOI Auto disclose some crucial facts, even though the performance specifications and battery pack have not yet been made public.

The self-balancing scooter will have a retro-modern design. It will have front and back illumination made entirely of LEDs. Wheels with multiple spokes will also be available, and the front suspension will be telescoping. The scooter has a digital cluster with OTA updates for features. The scooter will also demonstrate reverse functionality, learner mode, ARSAS (advanced rider safety assist), and self-parking. While that sounds thrilling, it is unknown how well the single disc up front and drum brake at the back will function.

The headlight has a triangle shape and a powerful DRL built right into the head unit. We may anticipate that the scooter will be modified for comfort because the seat appears to be wide.

What opinions do you have regarding the Liger Mobility scooter? In the comments, please.
