Simple Energy launches e-scooter Simple One at starting price of INR 1,45,000
Simple Energy, an electric vehicle and clean energy startup launched its first electric 2-wheeler, Simple One, on Tuesday at a starting price of INR 1,45,000.
The Super EV- Simple One will be available for INR 1,58,000, which includes a 750W charger, and will be released globally in August 2021.
In 18 months, Simple One received a positive response with over 1 lakh pre-bookings. With the official launch, the company intends to facilitate customer deliveries in stages, beginning with Bengaluru. It will also focus on expanding its retail operations in the next 12 months by establishing a presence in 40-50 cities with a network of 160-180 retail stores.
The 2W will be equipped with fixed and removable (portable) batteries, with an IDC range of 212 km, making it India’s longest-range E2W. It is entirely made in India.
Simple One is also the fastest E2W in its class, with an 0-40 kmph time of 2.77 seconds. According to the company, it is the first E2W equipped with a thermal management system developed in collaboration with IIT-Indore, which will aid in mitigating thermal runaways.
