OK Chalo: Postilion’s New Transparent Mobility Platform Transforms City Travel

A new era in urban mobility has begun with Postilion Mobility Technologies’ launch of “OK Chalo,” a mobility-on-demand platform that charges just Rs. 5/-for matchmaking services. By acting as a matchmaker instead of just an aggregator, “OK Chalo” prioritizes user-friendliness, convenience, affordability, and satisfaction while streamlining the driver-rider engagement process overall.

Currently, over 3500 auto and taxi drivers have registered to drive on the OK Chalo platform in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Cyberabad; driver registrations are still being accepted to address the shared mobility challenges of these cities. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or the iOS App Store.

“OK Chalo” is the culmination of over two years of dedicated effort. We meticulously studied urban mobility platforms worldwide and engaged in extensive discussions with various Driver Union Representatives to comprehend their challenges and issues. In “OK Chalo,” we’ve ensured that both drivers and riders are at the forefront of our proposition. The app facilitates direct communication between them, even on fare negotiations, with OK Chalo acting solely as a facilitator prior to the ride, ensuring transparency and eliminating surprises.”

Udaya Bhaskar Voruganti, Founder and Director of Postilion Mobility Technologies, expressed.

With “OK Chalo’s” Click to Call service, riders can communicate without revealing personal information. The fare algorithm is transparent, so there are no surges or inflated fares during peak demand hours. Unlike other ride-hailing apps, there are no hidden fees or charges. Riders only pay the agreed fare directly to the driver via cash or UPI. These are just some of the key features that make “OK Chalo” stand out when it comes to providing a seamless ride experience.

“We have aligned our tech stack to provide the best value proposition to our driver partners and consumers. The platform is built after extensive user research and will continue to evolve to meet the interests of both drivers and consumers.”

Naveen Patibandla, Director of Postilion Mobility Technologies, added.

“OK Chalo” charges a flat matchmaking fee of Rs. 5/-from both the driver and the rider upon ride confirmation, ensuring transparency and fairness for all parties involved. Once the fare is accepted by the rider, it is paid directly to the driver without any intermediaries, commissions, or hidden fees.

By displaying the location and cost to drivers before taking a ride, “OK Chalo” gives them the information they need to make an informed decision. This transparency encourages dependability and efficiency, which lowers the number of cancellations and expedites payment for services given after each journey.

Postilion Mobility Technologies, headquartered in Hyderabad, started operations in 2022 and is recognized as a DPIIT (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade) startup with the goal of revolutionizing urban mobility and the ride-hailing sector. “OK Chalo” is also looking for franchise partners throughout India who share their vision for transforming the ride-booking industry.
