Electric two-wheeler manufacturer e-Sprinto has entered the consumer electric scooter market with the launch of its new G1 family scooter in India. Starting at ₹89,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the electric scooter is aimed at urban commuters and families looking for an affordable alternative to petrol-powered two-wheelers.
The e-Sprinto G1 is available in three battery variants, with claimed riding ranges of 80 km, 100 km and up to 130 km on a single charge. With all three variants priced below ₹1 lakh, the company aims to attract buyers seeking practical electric mobility for everyday travel. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin on January 1, 2027.
e-Sprinto G1: Price and Battery Options
The electric scooter is offered in three configurations to suit different budgets and commuting requirements. The entry-level variant, featuring a 2.0 kWh battery, is priced at ₹89,999. The 2.5 kWh version costs ₹94,999, while the top-spec 3.0 kWh variant is priced at ₹99,999.
According to the reported specifications, the respective variants offer claimed ranges of 80 km, 100 km and 130 km per charge. The larger battery option could be suitable for riders with longer daily commutes, while the entry-level model may appeal to those primarily travelling shorter distances within cities.
Actual range may vary depending on riding style, road conditions, payload and other operating factors.
Riding Modes and Performance
The e-Sprinto G1 features three riding modes: Eco, City and Sport. Eco mode offers a maximum speed of 30 kmph, while City mode raises the limit to 40 kmph. Sport mode enables a top speed of 50 kmph.
This configuration positions the G1 primarily as a low-speed urban commuter rather than a high-performance electric scooter. Its different riding modes allow users to select a setting according to their daily travel requirements.
Practical Features for Indian Roads
The G1 has been designed with everyday family use in mind. It comes equipped with 12-inch tubeless tyres, 165 mm of ground clearance and a claimed payload capacity of 150 kg. These specifications are intended to support regular commuting and accommodate the practical needs of Indian riders.
The scooter also features a digital instrument display and a Combined Braking System (CBS). Its battery carries an IP67 protection rating against dust and water ingress under specified test conditions. Navigation support is available as an optional subscription-based feature.
Buyers can choose from four colour options: Charcoal Black, Slate Grey, Horizon Blue and Pine Green.
e-Sprinto’s Expansion into the Consumer Market
The G1 marks an important step for e-Sprinto as it expands beyond its established business-to-business (B2B) operations into the business-to-consumer (B2C) segment.
The company reports that more than 70,000 of its vehicles have been deployed on Indian roads. It also operates three manufacturing facilities with a combined annual production capacity of 1.5 lakh units.
With the G1, e-Sprinto is looking to build its presence among individual customers and families. Establishing a dependable sales network, after-sales service and spare-parts availability will be important as the company enters a more competitive retail market.
Priced below ₹1 lakh, the e-Sprinto G1 enters India’s increasingly competitive electric two-wheeler segment with multiple battery choices, practical features and a claimed range of up to 130 km. Its market performance will depend on real-world range, charging convenience, ownership costs and the quality of customer support.
With deliveries expected to start in January 2027, the G1 will give buyers another option to consider as electric scooters gain traction for daily urban commuting.
