Altigreen, an Indian electric vehicle manufacturer, has entered the country’s electric two-wheeler market with the launch of its new multi-utility electric motorcycle, Minsara. Designed to serve both urban and rural mobility requirements, the new electric two-wheeler targets farmers, small-business owners, delivery professionals, service technicians and fleet operators.
Priced at ₹1.24 lakh (ex-showroom), the Minsara has been introduced in three variants, offering different battery configurations and riding ranges. The company aims to address the growing demand for practical and cost-effective electric mobility solutions across multiple customer segments.
Altigreen Minsara: Designed for Multiple Applications
Unlike conventional electric scooters primarily designed for personal transportation, the Minsara has been developed as a utility-focused electric motorcycle. Its design and specifications are intended to support everyday commercial activities, including goods movement, last-mile deliveries and rural transportation.
The electric motorcycle delivers a peak torque of 172 Nm, enabling it to handle demanding riding conditions and different road surfaces. It offers a claimed gradeability of 33 per cent and a top speed of 75 kmph, making it suitable for both city commuting and applications requiring additional pulling capability.
The Minsara also comes with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 264 kg, highlighting its focus on utility-oriented transportation.
In terms of hardware, the electric motorcycle features 17-inch alloy wheels, telescopic front suspension and a rib-caged chassis. Additional safety and structural features include crash guards, dual disc brakes with a Combined Braking System (CBS), and both main and side stands.
Three Variants With Different Battery Configurations
Altigreen has introduced the Minsara in three variants: Minsara S, Minsara S+ and Minsara SE. Each variant is designed to address different usage requirements through its battery configuration.
The Minsara S comes equipped with a 2.78 kWh battery pack and offers a claimed riding range of 125 km on a single charge. The Minsara S+ features a larger 3.8 kWh battery, delivering a claimed range of 165 km.
The third variant, Minsara SE, features a battery-swapping configuration. This option is particularly relevant for commercial users and fleet operators who require higher vehicle utilisation and want to minimise downtime associated with conventional battery charging.
The electric motorcycle is priced from ₹1.24 lakh (ex-showroom). Altigreen is also offering a standard warranty of three years or 30,000 km, with extended warranty options planned for customers.
Bookings Open in Three Indian Cities
Altigreen has opened bookings for the Minsara through its dealerships in Bengaluru, Vijayawada and Noida. Deliveries of the electric motorcycle are scheduled to begin on December 1, 2026.
The initial market rollout across these three cities will allow the company to introduce its new product to different customer segments and build its presence in the electric two-wheeler market.
According to Deepak Thakur, CEO of JAKSON Green Vehicles, the Minsara has been developed to address the mobility and utility requirements of customers across urban and rural markets.
Amitabh Saran, Founder and CTO of Altigreen, highlighted that the launch expands the company’s electric mobility portfolio beyond its existing electric cargo three-wheeler business.
Altigreen Expands Its Electric Mobility Portfolio
Altigreen is part of the JAKSON Group and has primarily focused on manufacturing electric cargo three-wheelers under its neEV product range. The launch of Minsara marks an important step in the company’s expansion into India’s competitive electric two-wheeler industry.
The company is also planning to enter the passenger electric three-wheeler segment, indicating its broader ambitions across different categories of electric mobility.
With three variants, multiple battery configurations and a utility-focused design, the Minsara represents Altigreen’s effort to tap into commercial and personal electric mobility requirements. Its market performance will depend on customer adoption, dealership expansion and the ability to establish a reliable ownership and service experience.
As India’s electric vehicle market continues to expand beyond conventional personal transportation, Altigreen’s entry into the electric two-wheeler segment adds another player to the country’s growing electric mobility ecosystem.
