Solterra Technologies–Sinpro Electronics Partnership

Solterra Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a power electronics and electric mobility solutions provider, has entered into an exclusive partnership with Taiwan-based Sinpro Electronics Co., Ltd., a move that expands Solterra’s EV technology portfolio in India. Alongside the announcement, Solterra has also opened a new Research and Development (R&D) office in Bengaluru.

Under the agreement, Solterra Technologies will exclusively offer Sinpro’s range of EV motors, motor controllers, and DC-DC converters to customers across India. The tie-up gives Indian original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and mobility companies access to advanced EV powertrain technologies, backed by Solterra’s local market presence and engineering support.

Founded in 1995, Sinpro Electronics is a Taiwan-based manufacturer specializing in power electronics for EV, industrial, and other applications — including motors, motor controllers, DC-DC converters, and charging technologies — serving both domestic and international markets.

By combining Sinpro’s global power electronics expertise with Solterra’s understanding of the Indian electric mobility ecosystem, the two companies aim to support the evolving needs of EV manufacturers with solutions spanning a wide range of electric mobility applications.

Solterra’s new Bengaluru R&D facility will focus on product development, engineering, testing, and technology adaptation for the Indian market. It will also serve as a hub for technical collaboration between Solterra and Sinpro, supporting the joint development and integration of EV powertrain and power electronics solutions.

The move underscores Solterra’s commitment to building deeper technology capabilities within India and working more closely with OEMs to meet the specific demands of the country’s rapidly growing electric mobility sector.

“India’s EV industry is entering a phase where technology, performance and engineering capability will play an increasingly important role in shaping the next generation of mobility,” said Sagar Bose, Chief Technology Officer, Solterra Technologies. He added that the Sinpro partnership expands Solterra’s technology portfolio with proven EV powertrain solutions, while the Bengaluru R&D office strengthens the company’s ability to innovate for the Indian market.

Bill Su, EV Powertrain Leader at Sinpro Electronics, called India one of the most dynamic markets for electric mobility, noting that the exclusive partnership brings Sinpro’s EV powertrain technologies closer to Indian OEMs and mobility companies, with Solterra’s local presence and engineering capabilities positioning it as a strong partner for the sector’s future growth.

With this partnership, Solterra Technologies broadens its footprint across charging, power electronics, and now EV powertrain technologies. The addition of Sinpro’s motors, motor controllers, and DC-DC converters, paired with expanded R&D capabilities in Bengaluru, reinforces Solterra’s push to support advanced electric mobility solutions for the Indian market.
