JSW MG Motor India has launched the new MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹17.89 lakh. The special edition builds on the existing electric crossover with exclusive exterior styling, upgraded cabin materials and additional comfort features aimed at enhancing the passenger experience.

Unlike a completely new model, the Indulge Edition focuses on cosmetic upgrades and added convenience equipment while retaining the standard Windsor EV’s existing electric powertrain. It is available exclusively with the smaller 38kWh battery pack, making it an option for buyers who prioritise premium interior features and distinctive styling.

The new MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition receives a distinctive Shadow Gold exterior colour, giving the electric crossover a fresh appearance. The gold finish is complemented by blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels, a contrasting black roof and black exterior rear-view mirrors.

The special edition also features exclusive Indulge badges on the rear quarter glass, helping distinguish it from the standard Windsor EV variants. Other exterior elements, including the LED lighting setup and body cladding, remain unchanged.

These updates give the electric crossover a more individual look without altering its overall design. The new colour combination and black accents are intended to appeal to customers looking for a more distinctive version of MG’s electric family car.

One of the biggest highlights of the MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition is its upgraded cabin. The interior features a black-and-tan leatherette upholstery theme, adding a more premium appearance to the cabin. The front seat headrests also receive Indulge embossing, reinforcing the special edition’s identity.

A key addition is the roof-mounted, flip-down Prive Screen for rear-seat passengers. The screen is designed to improve the entertainment experience for occupants in the second row. The edition also includes Indulge-themed cushions and neck pillows to enhance passenger comfort.

The Windsor EV’s existing comfort-focused features, including its Aero Lounge seats that recline up to 135 degrees, continue to be part of the package. Other equipment is carried over from the top-spec Essence trim on which the special edition is based.

The MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition is powered by a 38kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor. The motor produces 136hp and 200Nm of torque, with power delivered to the front wheels.

MG claims a driving range of 332km on a single charge. However, the actual range may vary depending on driving style, traffic conditions, passenger load and air-conditioning usage.

The special edition does not get the larger 52.9kWh battery pack available in other Windsor EV variants. The larger-battery version offers a claimed range of 449km, making it a potential alternative for buyers who prioritise longer driving distances between charges.

Priced at ₹17.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition costs ₹89,000 more than the standard Essence variant, according to the reported pricing.

MG is also offering a curated selection of accessories, including a rear sunshade, 3D floor mats, chrome grille accents, bumper corner protectors, body-side moulding and a leather key cover. These additions provide further scope for personalisation while enhancing the vehicle’s everyday practicality.

Buyers comparing the Indulge Edition with other Windsor EV variants should consider the additional cabin equipment alongside the available battery options and their expected daily driving requirements.

The launch of the MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition highlights how electric carmakers are expanding their offerings beyond battery performance and driving range. Premium cabin features, rear-seat entertainment and distinctive styling are becoming important ways to differentiate electric vehicles in India’s increasingly competitive market.

The Indulge Edition targets customers who want a more feature-rich electric crossover without moving to an entirely different model. However, buyers who regularly undertake longer journeys may find the larger-battery Windsor EV variants more suitable.

With its new exterior finish, upgraded upholstery and rear entertainment screen, the MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition adds another option to India’s growing electric passenger vehicle segment.
