JBM Electric Vehicles has launched its new ECOLIFE e12 electric city bus at Singapore Urban Mobility Week (SUMW) 2026, marking another step in the company’s efforts to expand its electric public transportation portfolio in international markets.

The electric bus was officially unveiled at the mobility event by Dr. Shilpak Ambule, High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Singapore, and Nishant Arya, Chairman of JBM Electric Vehicles.

The launch highlights JBM Electric Vehicles’ growing presence in the global electric mobility sector and its focus on developing sustainable public transportation solutions. Singapore Urban Mobility Week 2026 provided a platform for the company to showcase its latest electric bus technology to international mobility stakeholders and industry representatives.

The ECOLIFE e12 has been introduced as an electric city bus designed for urban public transportation applications. Its launch reflects the increasing interest in electric buses as cities and transport operators explore cleaner alternatives to conventional diesel-powered public transport fleets.

The ECOLIFE e12 comes equipped with a full-aluminium monocoque body structure, designed to provide a lightweight yet durable platform. It also features an Intelligent Transport System (ITS) compliant with Singapore’s regulatory requirements and advanced telematics technology that enables 24-hour monitoring of vehicle health and performance.

Safety is another key focus of the electric bus. Its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) include forward collision warnings, lane departure alerts, pedestrian and cyclist collision warnings, and blind-spot detection. Additional features include driver drowsiness and distraction warnings, a 360-degree camera system, and fire detection and suppression technology. The vehicle also incorporates cybersecurity protection.

Alongside the launch, JBM Electric Vehicles has established its Asia-Pacific (APAC) headquarters in Singapore. The facility will support regional sales, marketing, aftersales operations, business development and strategic partnerships.

JBM Electric Vehicles also reported a global order book of 10,000 electric buses scheduled for deployment over the next two years. The company operates an integrated electric bus manufacturing facility in India with an annual production capacity of 20,000 units.

With the ECOLIFE e12 launch and its new regional headquarters, JBM Electric Vehicles is strengthening its international presence while expanding its focus on zero-emission public transportation solutions.

The development further highlights the growing role of Indian electric vehicle manufacturers in the global transition towards sustainable public mobility.
