BMW Launches i5 M60 xDrive Electric Sedan in India
In a pioneering effort, BMW has launched the BMW i5 M60 xDrive in India, marking the first model of its kind in the country. This all-electric sedan is the latest gem in the BMW M Performance series, renowned for its sophistication, cutting-edge features, and exhilarating driving dynamics. The model is imported as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU), blending advanced technology with athletic aesthetics.
Mr. Vikram Pawah, President of BMW Group India, shared his enthusiasm about the launch: “The BMW i5 M60 xDrive delivers an electrifying experience that’s second to none.” He highlighted the sedan’s mix of BMW’s rich heritage, the high-performance thrills of the M series, and a commitment to sustainability. As the sixth electric vehicle introduced by BMW Group India, the i5 M60 xDrive is set to enhance the company’s stance as a frontrunner in the luxury electric vehicle market.
Retailing at INR 1,19,50,000 (ex-showroom), the BMW i5 M60 xDrive offers a suite of customization options. Colour choices range from Alpine White and M Brooklyn Grey to M Carbon Black, with other metallic and BMW Individual variations available. The interiors are graced with standard Carbon Fibre trims and a choice of Alcantara/Vegansza | Black upholstery.
The car comes with a two-year warranty, which is extendable through the Repair Inclusive program. Additionally, its high-voltage battery is safeguarded by an eight-year warranty or up to 160,000 kilometers.
The BMW i5 M60 xDrive is equipped with a robust electric drive system delivering 601 hp and a peak torque of 795 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hr in just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 230 km/hr and a driving range of up to 516 kilometres.
Featuring the BMW Operating System 8.5, the car boasts quicker update cycles, enhanced digital features, and improved navigation capabilities. It’s also fitted with premium safety systems, including Adaptive Suspension Professional and a comprehensive suite of driver assistance technologies.
