On January 14, 2024, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath initiated the launch of 75 electric vehicles in Ayodhya, just a week before the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram temple. Additionally, Adityanath inaugurated the official website for Ayodhya Police and a Digital Tourist Application, as announced in a statement by the UP government.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated 50 buses and 25 autorickshaws as part of the fleet of e-vehicles. Speaking to the crowd, Adityanath stated that Ayodhya City and the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation had developed e-services to offer the best public transportation options to pilgrims arriving ahead of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ (consecration) program in Ayodhya Dham on January 22.

According to the chief minister, January 22 is a holy day for restoring India’s honour and self-respect as well as a day to honour its faith and beliefs.

“When Lord Shri Ram will be seated in his grand temple after 500 years, then not only in Ayodhya Dham but also in the state and the entire country, the work of establishing Ram Rajya, which started in 2014, will give concrete shape to a successful future. We will also receive Lord Ram’s blessings,”

Adityanath said.

“The country and the world are eager to know when they will get an opportunity to see Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya. We are fortunate that we are getting the blessings of the Lord here. It is our responsibility first to make Ayodhya look clean and beautiful. Along with infrastructure, widening of roads, railway line, and airport, electric buses will work to brighten Ayodhya,” Adityanath said, extending his wishes for Makar Sankranti to the state’s people. He stated that visitors to the sacred city should have a positive impression of them.

“Akhand Ramayan recitation and Ram Sankirtan will be organized in Har Dev Temple from January 16 to January 22. The cleanliness campaign has been started from Ayodhya in the morning itself. In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s thinking, Ayodhya has to be given a global identity.”
