Statiq Launches First EV Charging Station in Ayodhya to Promote Sustainable Transport

In a significant development aimed at bolstering the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in Ayodhya, Statiq, a leading provider of EV charging infrastructure, has unveiled its first charging station in the city. This strategic move is set to facilitate the transition towards sustainable and eco-friendly transportation options for residents and visitors alike.

The inauguration of the charging station took place on Monday, marking a milestone in Ayodhya’s journey towards embracing electric mobility.

The newly established charging station is well-equipped, featuring a 60 kW DC charger with dual-gun capability, alongside four AC chargers of 9.9 kW each. These AC chargers possess three sockets of 3.3 kW, enabling the simultaneous charging of up to 14 electric vehicles

According to Statiq, this development is not just a step towards enhancing the city’s infrastructure but also aims at supporting tourism and providing better access for devotees heading to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.

“This installation not only supports tourism but also improves accessibility for devotees visiting Shri Ram Janmabhoomi,”

said Akshit Bansal, Founder and CEO of Statiq.

Statiq has already made substantial progress in building a network of over 7,000 charging stations across different cities and aims to expand this to 20,000 by the end of the year.

“While the charging station addresses the increasing need for EV infrastructure, at the same time, it also advances the broader objective of developing a sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation landscape,”

Mr. Prashaant, Director, MyEVPlus

This development complements other eco-friendly transportation initiatives in Ayodhya, such as Uber’s launch of its EV auto rickshaw service earlier this year. Attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, this move underscores the city’s commitment to green transportation solutions. Through these efforts, Ayodhya is making strides in reducing carbon emissions and fostering a cleaner, more sustainable future for urban mobility.
