Statiq Lunches Free Charging Service In Karnataka

Statiq, a prominent player in the electric vehicle (EV) charging sector, recently announced an ambitious initiative to boost EV adoption by providing free charging services at over 400 charging points across Karnataka. This pioneering move is designed to encourage EV users to explore public charging facilities, especially for long-distance travel, addressing a common reliance on home charging solutions.

The initiative by Statiq is aimed at broadening the appeal of public EV charging by making it more accessible and cost-effective. By eliminating the cost barrier, Statiq hopes to attract a wider audience, including owners of popular electric vehicles like the Tata Nexon, MG ZS EV, and Tata Tiago EV. To benefit from this offer, users need to download the Statiq app, create an account, register their vehicle, and start the charging process without any hidden fees. This transparency and ease of use are expected to enhance the user experience and trust in public charging networks.

Statiq’s free charging service covers personal electric vehicles and extends to two-wheelers, although it excludes public transport vehicles such as taxis. The service is available across a variety of chargers listed on the Statiq app, including those from partners like Glida, Sunfuel, and e-fill, ensuring wide accessibility.

Akshit Bansal, Founder & CEO of Statiq, stated, “Through this initiative, we aim to promote EV adoption and increase our presence in the Southern market.” This statement underscores the company’s commitment to not only expanding its market share but also to playing a significant role in the sustainable transportation revolution.

In addition to this new initiative, last year, Statiq introduced a feature in their app that provides real-time insights to enhance the EV charging experience. This feature helps users by offering updated information on the total distance travelled, remaining battery range, and a charging status indicator, making the EV journey more manageable and predictable.

Currently, Statiq operates over 7,000 EV chargers across various Indian cities, including tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 locations. With a strategic plan to expand to 20,000 charging stations by the end of 2025, Statiq is poised to become a pivotal force in India’s EV infrastructure development, supporting the country’s transition towards cleaner transportation solutions and aiding in the reduction of carbon emissions. This initiative not only serves the practical purpose of facilitating easier EV charging but also aligns with global sustainability goals by fostering increased adoption of electric vehicles.
