Tata Power EZ Charge Network Boosts EV Infrastructure in Karnataka
Tata Power continues to be a key driver in advancing sustainable mobility in Karnataka through its growing network of EV charging stations. The company’s EZ Charge initiative is making significant strides in bolstering the state’s shift towards more efficient and cleaner transportation options.
Strategic Deployment Across the State: With over 220 charging points, Tata Power’s network covers a broad swath of Karnataka. These stations are not only limited to urban centers but also span major highways that connect key cities like Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Davangere, and Mysuru, enhancing connectivity and access for EV users. Furthermore, Tata Power has ensured that popular tourist destinations such as Chikmagalur and Coorg are not left out, placing charging stations in areas that see high visitor traffic.
Enhanced Charging Facility in Bengaluru: In Bengaluru alone, the company has installed more than 150 charging points in crucial suburbs including Devanahalli and Electronic City. This strategic placement helps reduce the distance EV owners need to travel to charge their vehicles, significantly improving accessibility within the capital city.
Collaborations to Extend Reach: Tata Power has also partnered with prominent builders, residential societies, and commercial entities to expand its charging network. Notable collaborations with Brigade Gardenia, Divyashree Elan Homes, Decathlon, and Titan have played a vital role in integrating charging points into everyday spaces such as hotels, commercial complexes, and even residential areas.
Supporting State Government’s Vision: Aligned with the Karnataka government’s progressive policies on electric mobility, Tata Power is dedicated to contributing to the state’s goals. Their comprehensive strategy in placing charging stations is designed to foster faster adoption of EVs and establish Karnataka as a leader in sustainable transportation within India.
Nationwide Impact: Beyond Karnataka, Tata Power’s EZ Charge network is vast, spanning 530 cities and towns across India. This includes 86,000 home chargers, 5,300 public charging points, and 850 bus-charging stations strategically located across various locations including hotels, malls, offices, and residential areas, reinforcing the company’s commitment to enhancing e-mobility nationwide.
