Vaidyuthi Mobility Unveils Gully 100: Electric 3-Wheeler for Mid-Load Deliveries, Operable with 2W Licence

Electric vehicle startup Vaidyuthi Mobility has launched the Gully 100, a new electric three-wheeler aimed at mid-load last-mile deliveries. In a significant move aligned with recent regulatory changes, the Gully 100 can be driven using a standard two-wheeler licence, eliminating the need for a commercial LMV-3 licence.

Targeted at urban logistics, the Gully 100 is designed to handle loads between 50 to 400 kilograms—a segment often underserved by two-wheelers or oversized cargo three-wheelers. The company positions it as a right-sized solution for sectors like e-commerce, FMCG, and small-scale retail.

By allowing operation with a 2W licence, the Gully 100 opens the door to a much wider driver base—potentially easing the recruitment challenges faced by logistics operators who struggle to find commercially licensed three-wheeler drivers.

“We’re not just building an EV,” said Raj Kumar, CEO of Vaidyuthi Mobility. “We’re building a category that didn’t exist before. Most delivery operations are stuck between vehicles that are too small or too big. The Gully 100 offers a third, purpose-built option.”

Powered by a dual-motor system, the Gully 100 is engineered for torque-heavy performance and stability under load. Its in-house developed adaptive suspension system, dubbed “Breathe & Adapt”, adjusts in real-time to urban terrains and varied cargo weights.

The vehicle offers a claimed range of 120 km per charge, making it suitable for daily urban delivery runs. Additional features include:

  • Tilt Guard for rollover prevention
  • Active swing arm for better handling
  • Electronic differential for precise control

“This is one of the safest and most affordable electric three-wheelers we’ve ever built,” said Hari Vasudevan, Co-founder and CTO. “We didn’t just optimise for price. We designed it for what the Indian delivery workforce truly needs—terrain, load capacity, comfort, and driver accessibility.”

The Gully 100 will be available in cargo and passenger variants and supports fleet-level integrations, including diagnostic tools, mobile app compatibility, and a modular chassis for multiple applications.

The vehicle qualifies for central and state EV subsidies and will be sold without any restrictions tied to franchise systems or closed delivery platforms—allowing logistics players and fleet operators full operational flexibility.
