Electric mobility company Yulu has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) delivery operations to Nashik, Maharashtra, with the launch of its Yulu Business Partner (YBP) service. The company has partnered with Approach Auto Mobility to introduce an initial fleet of 100 DeX electric two-wheelers, targeting the city’s growing demand for last-mile delivery services.
The service will initially operate from a Yulu Centre in Rajiv Nagar, with plans to expand into other parts of Nashik and nearby areas depending on demand. The launch marks Yulu’s second market in Maharashtra after Mumbai and its ninth franchise-led operation introduced over the past two years.
Yulu Expands EV Delivery Network in India
With its entry into Nashik, Yulu has extended its operations to 13 cities across India. The company directly operates in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Hyderabad, while its franchise-led network covers cities including Indore, Bhopal, Kochi, Tirunelveli, Madurai, Coimbatore, Kolkata and Chandigarh Tricity.
The expansion reflects the company’s strategy to increase its presence in emerging urban markets, where online shopping, quick-commerce platforms and food-delivery businesses are generating demand for efficient transportation solutions.
Yulu’s DeX electric two-wheelers are designed for commercial delivery operations. By offering electric vehicles to delivery partners, the company aims to help reduce operating expenses associated with conventional petrol-powered motorcycles.
Growing Delivery Demand in Nashik
Nashik’s expanding digital commerce and food-service sectors have created opportunities for electric mobility providers. According to Yulu, the city has more than 25 operational dark stores and approximately 1,500 high-volume restaurants. Daily deliveries have doubled over the past year to around 25,000, highlighting the growing requirement for vehicles capable of supporting frequent, short-distance trips.
Electric two-wheelers can help delivery partners manage running costs by reducing dependence on petrol. However, affordability, vehicle availability and convenient battery access remain important factors in determining their suitability for commercial use.
To address these requirements, Yulu’s service combines electric two-wheelers with battery-swapping facilities provided through Yuma Energy. Its pricing plans include energy, maintenance and insurance, helping delivery partners manage several recurring expenses through a consolidated offering.
Yulu claims that delivery partners using its electric vehicles can retain 30–40% more earnings than riders using petrol motorcycles. This is a company-reported estimate, and actual savings may vary depending on vehicle usage, working hours and individual operating costs.
Partnership With Approach Auto Mobility
The Nashik rollout is being implemented with Approach Auto Mobility, led by entrepreneur Jai Dhanani. The company operates across areas including EV charging solutions, ride-sharing services and battery-swapping franchises. It also has an existing battery-swapping partnership with Yuma Energy.
Yulu co-founder and CEO Amit Gupta highlighted the growing importance of non-metropolitan cities in India’s electric mobility transition, particularly as quick-commerce and on-demand delivery services expand.
Approach Auto Mobility will support the local rollout, with the partnership focused on helping delivery partners reduce operating costs and providing businesses with access to electric delivery fleets.
The companies plan to extend the service beyond Rajiv Nagar as demand develops.
Yulu’s Nashik expansion highlights the increasing role of electric two-wheelers in India’s last-mile logistics sector. By combining purpose-built delivery vehicles, battery swapping and consolidated service plans, the company aims to make EV-based deliveries more accessible while supporting the transition towards cleaner urban transportation.
