Kinetic Green, a prominent player in India’s electric vehicle landscape, has announced its ambitious plan to launch three new electric scooters under its “Born-Electric” brand within the next 18 months. This move aims to strengthen its presence in the fast-growing electric two-wheeler (E2W) segment and tap into India’s evolving demand for clean mobility solutions.

The announcement comes on the heels of the successful market response to the Kinetic Green E-Luna, which marked the company’s re-entry into the EV scooter market last year. The Maharashtra-based automaker revealed that the first model from the Born-Electric lineup is scheduled for launch before the upcoming festive season.

The first of the three upcoming scooters is positioned as a family-oriented, stylish, and tech-forward model. Kinetic Green confirmed that the scooter will come equipped with:

  • A vibrant TFT digital display
  • Multiple battery options for range flexibility
  • Fast-charging capability
  • JioThings-powered IoT connectivity
  • To enhance the design and riding experience, Kinetic Green has partnered with Italy-based Torino Design, known for their futuristic styling and automotive aesthetics. This collaboration is expected to result in scooters that not only look premium but are also built for urban efficiency and rider comfort.

Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, said:

“Our upcoming Born-Electric scooters will redefine category benchmarks in styling and utility. Backed by our strong legacy, EV R&D capabilities, and global design partnerships, we’re ready to lead India’s electric mobility transformation.”

The company’s Born-Electric strategy reflects a shift from retrofitted or adapted ICE vehicles to purpose-built electric vehicles designed ground-up with EV performance, battery integration, and digital features at the core.

Since entering the electric mobility space in 2016, Kinetic Green has scaled significantly. The company claims to have sold over 80,000 electric two-wheelers and built a network of 400+ exclusive EV dealerships across India.

Having officially stepped into the E2W category in 2022, Kinetic Green is well-positioned to capture emerging demand.

According to industry projections, India’s electric scooter market is expected to grow from 15% to 70% penetration by 2030, with a potential value of ₹40,000 crore. Kinetic Green believes its new launches are strategically timed to capture a major share of this booming segment.

With its Born-Electric initiative, Kinetic Green is not just launching new products but reshaping its brand for a future-ready EV market. By offering smart, stylish, and efficient scooters tailored for Indian consumers, the company is aiming to make a serious impact in the country’s electric mobility revolution. As India’s demand for eco-friendly and connected mobility grows, Kinetic Green’s upcoming electric scooters could play a pivotal role in making EV adoption mainstream—especially in the mass two-wheeler category.
