Chennai, 16 September 2025: Montra Electric M&HCV, today announced a significant milestone for its flagship heavy-duty electric truck, the Rhino 5538EV, which has clocked more than 1.2 crore kilometres across Indian roads within just two years of launch. With a fleet of 350 trucks, Rhino has delivered proven reliability in steel, cement, and port logistics applications, reducing over 3.79 million tons of CO₂ emissions.

Covering more than 1.2 crore kilometres in just two years, Montra Electric’s M&HCV fleet has reduced an estimated 3.79 million tons of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to the carbon absorption capacity of approximately 181 million trees. The Rhino EV range spans heavy commercial vehicles starting with the 6×4 tractor trailer. It will soon include a 4×2 tractor trailer and a 6×4 configuration tipper.
