BluSmart Explores Partnership with JSW MG for EV Growth

BluSmart, India’s leading all-electric ride-hailing service, has secured a significant funding boost. In July, the company raised an impressive INR 200 crore (USD 24 million) in a pre-series B funding round. This latest investment round saw participation from renowned investors such as Zurich-based responsAbility Investments, MS Dhoni’s Family Office, and Sumant Sinha, the founder-CEO of the Nasdaq-listed firm ReNew.

This substantial funding infusion will fuel BluSmart’s continued growth and expansion in the Indian electric vehicle market. With its commitment to providing sustainable and efficient transportation solutions, BluSmart is well-positioned to capitalize on the increasing demand for electric mobility in the country.

BluSmart’s Electric Charge: Expanding India’s EV Infrastructure

BluSmart, India’s premier all-electric ride-hailing service, has been making significant strides in the country’s electric vehicle landscape. In addition to securing a substantial funding round of INR 200 crore (USD 24 million) in July, the company has also secured long-term EV asset financing of USD 200 million. This demonstrates the strong confidence investors have in BluSmart’s potential to drive electric mobility in India.

BluSmart’s impressive growth is reflected in its fleet size and charging infrastructure. With nearly 10,000 drivers and over 7,500 electric vehicles operating nationwide, the company is a major player in the Indian EV market. Moreover, BluSmart owns and operates a network of 4,000 EV chargers across 35 charging hubs, providing essential infrastructure for electric vehicle users.

These developments highlight BluSmart’s commitment to expanding access to electric transportation and contributing to India’s transition to a more sustainable and cleaner future.

Electric ride-sharing company BluSmart is reportedly exploring potential collaborations with JSW MG, a leading automotive manufacturer in India. Industry sources suggest that the two companies have been engaged in discussions regarding various alliance options, including the possibility of BluSmart incorporating JSW MG’s products into its fleet of electric vehicles.

Furthermore, there are indications that JSW MG may be considering a strategic investment in BluSmart Mobility. While both companies have declined to comment on these speculations, the potential partnership could have significant implications for the Indian electric vehicle market.

If these talks materialize into a formal agreement, it could lead to a mutually beneficial alliance for BluSmart and JSW MG. BluSmart would gain access to high-quality electric vehicles, while JSW MG could expand its market reach and strengthen its position in the growing EV sector.
