CESL and DDA Collaborate to Establish EV Charging and Battery Swapping Stations in Delhi

Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to collaboratively develop electric vehicle (EV) charging and battery swapping stations (BSS) across various DDA sports complexes in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. This initiative is set to accelerate the adoption of EVs, encompassing two-, three-, and four-wheelers, as well as medium and heavy-duty vehicles.

The partnership between CESL and DDA represents a significant leap towards promoting sustainable transportation in Delhi. By establishing a comprehensive network of charging and battery-swapping stations, the collaboration aims to overcome the infrastructure hurdles faced by EV users, thus encouraging more residents to transition to electric vehicles.

The MoU signing ceremony saw the attendance of representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, including Manohar Lal, Vishal Kapoor, and N Mohan, underscoring the government’s dedication to advancing EV infrastructure.

This initiative aligns perfectly with the broader objectives of cutting carbon emissions and fostering a cleaner, greener environment in the city. The development of EV infrastructure at DDA sports complexes is poised to benefit individual EV users and contribute to a significant reduction in vehicular pollution in Delhi.

The collaboration between CESL and DDA is a major milestone in Delhi’s journey towards becoming an EV-friendly city, enhancing accessibility and convenience for electric vehicle users across the region.
