Hero MotoCorp Introduces the Convertible Surge S32 Electric Scooter

Hero MotoCorp’s Surge startup has unveiled an innovative electric vehicle (EV) that aims to transform urban commuting in India by drawing inspiration from Batman’s Batmobile. Unveiled at Hero World 2024, this groundbreaking concept is named the Surge S32.

This innovative three-wheeler EV can seamlessly convert into a two-wheeler scooter in just three minutes, offering a versatile transportation solution for Indian commuters.

RPG Group chairman Harsh Goenka shared an engaging video introducing the Surge S32, generating excitement among EV enthusiasts nationwide. The vehicle’s unique ability to transform with a simple button press has gained recognition in the evolving electric vehicle landscape.

✅ Design and Features:

The Surge S32 represents a significant advancement in EV technology, resembling a conventional three-wheeler electric cargo vehicle. It features a front passenger cabin, windscreen, headlights, turn indicators, and windscreen wipers. What sets it apart is its swift transition mechanism – the front windshield lifts vertically to reveal the electric scooter, and the vehicle’s cabin transforms seamlessly with a spring-loaded double-stand mechanism.

✅ Power and Battery Efficiency:

The Surge S32 efficiently manages power and battery resources between its 3-wheeler and 2-wheeler components. The 3-wheeler is powered by a robust 10 kW (13.4 bhp) engine, offering substantial power. Meanwhile, the scooter is equipped with a 3 kW (4 bhp) engine for efficient performance. To support extended journeys, the 3-wheeler integrates an 11 kWh battery, ensuring a significant range. The scooter features a sizable 3.5 kWh battery for optimized electric mobility.

✅ Comfortable Ride:

The electric scooter component of the Surge S32 comes with LED headlights, turn indicators, a speedometer, and switchgear, ensuring a comfortable ride for urban commuters. The vehicle intelligently allocates power and battery resources between the three-wheeler and the scooter, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Conclusion:

The Surge S32 represents a remarkable leap forward in integrating technology and practicality in the electric vehicle sector, promising a revolution in urban mobility in India.
