Let’s take a closer look at the specifications of this new product offering in the market.
Performance and Range
The Mahindra XUV400 comes in two variants, the EC Pro and the EL Pro, each offering distinct performance and range capabilities. The EC Pro model is equipped with a 34.5kWh battery, while its higher-spec counterpart, the EL Pro, boasts a larger 39.4kWh battery. Mahindra claims an impressive 375km range for the EC Pro and an even more substantial 456km for the EL Pro, both measured on the MIDC cycle.
When it comes to charging options, the EL Pro exclusively offers a faster 7.2kW AC charger, while both trims come with a standard 3.3kW AC charger for convenience.
Under the hood, both variants feature a front axle-mounted electric motor, delivering a robust 150hp and 310Nm of torque. The braking system remains consistent with disc brakes on all four wheels, complemented by regenerative braking technology. To enhance the driving experience, the XUV400 Pro offers three distinct drive modes. While the mechanical aspects remain unchanged, the XUV400 Pro’s electric powertrain ensures a reliable and efficient ride, making significant strides in sustainable mobility.
Interior and Additional Features
The Mahindra XUV400 has undergone a noteworthy transformation in its interior and additional features. The primary update centres around a new 10.25-inch floating touchscreen, a significant change that required substantial alterations to the older version’s dashboard.
Inside, the formerly all-black interior has been transformed into an elegant dual-tone black-and-beige theme. The passenger side of the dashboard is now adorned with a glossy black trim, which beautifully complements the retained subtle copper accents. Additionally, the steering wheel boasts a fresh flat-bottom design, showcasing a brand-new 10.25-inch digital screen.
Additional Features
The XUV400 Pro now incorporates the Adrenox software found in the XUV700, making it an exceptional value for money. Furthermore, it boasts a range of added features, including dual-zone climate control with a memory function, a wireless phone charger, wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Alexa integration, rear USB ports, rear AC vents, and more.
Even as it narrows the gap with the new Nexon EV, the Tata model continues to shine with its exceptional features, such as ventilated front seats, a power-operated tailgate, 360-degree cameras, full-width LED light bands, and an even larger infotainment screen on the top-tier variant.
In an interesting move, Mahindra plans to continue offering the new Pro range of vehicles alongside the current trims. One exciting addition to the lineup is the introduction of a striking Nebula Blue colour for the XUV400, making it more visually appealing. This launch is expected to create a significant impact, combining enhanced features with the proven reliability of the XUV400 Pro.
Delivery in the Indian market
The Mahindra XUV400 is set to be available for delivery in the Indian market starting from February 1. The XUV400 Pro brings some notable improvements to the dashboard and incorporates new features, all while keeping its mechanical and styling aspects largely unchanged.
