OnEv Plans to Expand Fleet with 500 E3W and 100 E4W This Fiscal Year
Kissan Mobility Pvt. Ltd. (OnEv), an innovative start-up from the NCR, co-founded by Mr. Kamlesh Kaushik and his team, is set to expand its fleet with an addition of 500 EV L5 3-Wheelers and 100 EV passenger 4-Wheelers during the fiscal year 2024-25.
The company aims to escalate its presence by increasing its fleet to 2,000 electric vehicles (EVs) over the next two years. This expansion marks OnEv’s celebration of its first anniversary and reflects its commitment to enhancing eco-friendly transportation solutions.
Initiated in 2023 in Delhi-NCR with just three EV L5 autos, OnEv has successfully grown its fleet to 300 vehicles, serving areas within Delhi-NCR and extending into Punjab. The company collaborates with prominent EV Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as OSM, Piaggio, Euler, Greaves, Graveol, and Tata Ace, alongside various leasing partners, to streamline its operations and vehicle acquisitions.
OnEv has notably improved the livelihoods of its driver partners. Currently, drivers can earn between INR 50,000 to 60,000 per month, a significant increase from the typical INR 17,000 to 18,000. This enhancement in earnings is accompanied by an expansion in the company’s workforce, growing from 2 employees at inception to over 50 today.
Mr. Kamlesh Kaushik, the Founder & CEO of OnEv, highlighted the company’s progress at its first anniversary event. He pointed out the rapid adoption of EVs driven by their environmental benefits, cost-effectiveness, and supportive governmental policies. Mr. Kaushik emphasized the untapped potential in the rural markets of Northern India, including Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh, where OnEv plans to introduce innovative EV solutions tailored for agricultural applications to aid local farmers.
Looking ahead, Mr. Kaushik expressed OnEv’s intent to forge partnerships with EV and battery OEMs, service providers, and financial institutions to further capitalize on the shift towards electric mobility. He reaffirmed the company’s dedication to extending the reach of e-mobility to the most remote and rural corners of India within the ongoing financial year.
OnEv is committed to catalyzing a global revolution in the commercial electric vehicle sector. It is geared to partner with leading EV manufacturers to roll out new models that offer the highest driving range in their segment. Furthermore, recognizing the critical need for robust EV charging infrastructure, OnEv has joined forces with notable Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) to establish necessary charging facilities.
As air pollution levels continue to surge in Delhi-NCR, making the air quality increasingly hazardous, electric vehicles are emerging as a vital, sustainable, and economically viable transportation alternative. In response, OnEv has ventured into this segment, striving to meet the soaring demand for both passenger and commercial electric vehicles. The company also ensures that its fleet is operated by professionally trained drivers from top fleet management firms, maintaining a strict ‘zero emissions’ policy to eliminate toxic exhaust emissions.
