Pulse Energy and ChargeZone Lead 20+ Network Alliance to Transform India’s EV Charging

Pulse Energy, a prominent player in the electric vehicle (EV) charging sector, has recently embarked on an exciting partnership with ChargeZone and more than twenty other charging networks across India.

This collaboration is set to revolutionize the EV charging landscape, making it easier and more convenient for both individual EV owners and fleet operators to charge their vehicles.

Pulse Energy’s initiative is in line with the development of a new open EV charging network called Unified Energy Interface, which is built on the foundation of ONDC. Through this partnership, fleet operators can now directly engage with Pulse Energy to gain access to affordable and convenient charging options across a network of 20+ charging networks spanning India.

Individual EV users can use Pulse Energy’s applications, such as the InstaCharge app, to access the entire charging network, enabling them to initiate and terminate charging sessions at over 2000+ fast chargers countrywide.

Over 400 CCS2 chargers are now located along major highways across the nation as a result of Pulse Energy’s integration with ChargeZone. This expansion is intended to facilitate weekend trips for individual EV drivers and ensure a hassle-free charging experience.

Pulse Energy’s primary customer base consists of 15,000 EV drivers and 160 EV fleet operators, who benefit from reduced charging costs and streamlined charger accessibility. Fleet drivers can initiate the charging process via WhatsApp without the need for app downloads or account credentials, which helps to maintain high daily network utilization and dependability.

Pulse Energy’s efforts have significantly impacted their primary users – 160 EV fleet operators and 15,000 EV drivers. By making charger access more straightforward and reducing the cost of charging, Pulse Energy has improved the daily lives of these users. Fleet drivers, for instance, can now start charging their vehicles through WhatsApp, bypassing the need for app downloads or account setups. This simplicity has led to high network utilization and reliability.

Pulse Energy helps Charge Point Operators (CPOs) find the best locations for charger deployment in cities, which increases traffic through the Unified Energy Interface network. Recently, Pulse Energy and other EV startups, like Kazam, Sheru, and Turno, demonstrated the potential of an open energy network to prominent people, such as Shri Nandan Nilekanni and his team. CPOs using Pulse Energy’s platform have seen a 20% increase in charger utilization in just four weeks.

Tesco ChargeZone’s Founder and CEO, Kartikey Hariyani, highlights the partnership’s transformative impact and the move towards a unified and accessible charging infrastructure. By adding more CCS2 chargers to Pulse Energy’s offerings, ChargeZone’s network integration enhances the EV driver’s journey experience.

Akhil Jayaprakash, Co-Founder at Pulse Energy, highlights the company’s role as demand aggregators and how they help CPOs achieve positive return on investment (ROI) with their SaaS platform. Jayaprakash sees EV charging becoming as commonplace as UPI payments and enabling users to easily access any charging network via the Unified Energy Interface.
