Schneider Electric Launches Innovative eMobility Solutions to Boost Electric Vehicle Adoption
In an unprecedented step towards boosting the global shift to electric vehicles (EVs), Schneider Electric, a leader in energy management and automation, has introduced a revolutionary range of eMobility solutions. These innovations are designed to tackle the main obstacles facing the widespread adoption of EVs, promising to transform the EV charging infrastructure scene.
Revealed at the annual Innovation Summit, Schneider Electric’s latest products include the EVlink Pro DC 180kW charging stations for commercial use, Schneider Charge for home charging, and the transformative EcoStruxure for eMobility EV Advisor platform, setting a new standard in managing charging stations.
With concerns about charging infrastructure being a significant barrier for over 60% of consumers globally, Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure for eMobility EV Advisor stands out as a pivotal solution. This software-as-a-service platform aims to reduce charging station downtime by offering real-time monitoring, analytics, and remote management. It quickly resolves issues and enhances efficiency, providing a smooth charging experience for EV owners and helping businesses achieve their green goals.
The EVlink Pro DC 180kW charging stations by Schneider Electric are set to redefine fast charging in commercial and industrial settings. These scalable, energy-efficient stations use dynamic power allocation to reduce energy loss, allowing vehicles to reach 80% charge in just 20 minutes. This not only improves energy use but also keeps fleet vehicles on the move, enhancing operational efficiency.
Schneider Charge addresses the needs of residential charging, offering a sophisticated yet easy-to-use solution. Given that 51% of EV owners do not have access to home charging facilities, Schneider Charge seeks to fill this gap with an affordable, efficient, and user-friendly option. It features remote operation and dynamic tariff adjustment, enabling users to manage and optimize charging times and costs effectively.
Expanding its partnership with Qmerit to European markets, Schneider Electric aims to boost skilled labor support for charging infrastructure installation and maintenance. This strategic expansion ensures customers have access to qualified installers, underscoring Schneider Electric’s dedication to improving EV infrastructure reliability and performance globally.
Nadège Petit, Schneider Electric’s Chief Innovation Officer, shared her excitement about the new eMobility solutions, stressing their importance in addressing major adoption hurdles for EVs. Petit highlighted the company’s focus on enabling customers to effectively manage their infrastructure, facilitating a smooth shift to electric mobility.
As the demand for EV charging stations rises, Schneider Electric’s innovative offerings are poised to reshape the eMobility landscape, steering the world towards a greener, electrified future.
