India’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure is set for another major expansion as ChargeZone has announced plans to deploy Made-in-India DC fast chargers across 1,000 new locations in the country. The company has expanded its partnership with Ador-Quench (Quench Chargers) to strengthen its high-power charging network and support the growing demand for electric mobility.
The planned deployment will include DC fast-charging systems ranging from 120 kW chargers to 480 kW dispenser systems. Through this expansion, ChargeZone aims to increase its cumulative charging network capacity to 300 MW, catering to the charging requirements of electric passenger vehicles, buses and commercial trucks.
The partnership focuses on developing charging infrastructure that can support different categories of electric vehicles, particularly commercial fleets and intercity transportation. With the growing adoption of electric buses and trucks, the availability of high-capacity charging facilities is becoming increasingly important for reducing charging downtime and improving fleet operations.
High-Power Charging Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles
Under the expanded collaboration, the charging systems will be developed using a modular 30 kW AC-DC converter architecture. This technology allows the chargers to be configured across different power capacities, ranging from 30 kW to 480 kW, depending on the requirements of individual charging locations.
The 360 kW and 480 kW dispenser systems will primarily support electric buses, commercial trucks and fleet operators that require high-energy charging facilities. These high-capacity systems are designed to reduce vehicle turnaround time and improve charging efficiency, particularly at busy commercial charging hubs.
For electric passenger vehicles, the partnership will also facilitate the deployment of 120 kW DC fast chargers along highways and intercity routes. These installations are expected to improve charging accessibility for EV owners undertaking long-distance journeys.
According to the companies, the charging systems offer energy efficiency of more than 96%. They also feature forced-air cooling technology, modular configurations and front-access serviceability to simplify maintenance and improve operational reliability.
Additionally, the chargers incorporate a digital CAN interface that enables real-time monitoring of operating parameters, supporting better performance management and system diagnostics.
Integration with ChargeCloud Platform
The newly deployed charging infrastructure will be integrated with ChargeZone’s proprietary ChargeCloud platform. The software platform will enable real-time monitoring of charging stations, dynamic load management and predictive diagnostics across the network.
These capabilities are expected to help improve charging network operations, manage electricity demand and identify potential technical issues before they affect charging services.
Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and CEO of ChargeZone, said the expanded partnership with Ador-Quench would strengthen the company’s ability to deploy high-power charging infrastructure for both passenger and commercial electric vehicles.
Ravin Mirchandani, Chairperson of Ador Powertron and Quench Chargers, highlighted the domestic manufacturing capabilities behind the partnership. He stated that the chargers are manufactured in India, including their rectifier and controller modules, reflecting the companies’ focus on indigenous EV charging technology.
ChargeZone Expands Its EV Charging Network
ChargeZone currently operates more than 15,000 charging points across over 1,200 locations in India and the UAE. The latest expansion will further strengthen its presence in India’s rapidly developing EV charging infrastructure market.
Meanwhile, Quench Chargers, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ador Powertron, has deployed more than 1,500 DC fast chargers across India.
The planned installation of 1,000 additional charging locations represents an important step towards strengthening India’s domestic EV charging ecosystem. By combining locally manufactured high-power charging systems with digital network management technology, ChargeZone and Ador-Quench aim to support the increasing requirements of passenger EV owners and commercial fleet operators.
As electric mobility expands across highways, cities and logistics networks, investments in reliable, high-capacity and domestically manufactured charging infrastructure will play a crucial role in accelerating India’s transition towards electric transportation.
