Exicom Unveils India’s fastest DC charger for electric vehicles

Exicom, a leader in electric vehicle (EV) charging and critical power solutions in India, unveiled its latest innovation today: the Harmony Gen 1.5, claimed to be India’s fastest DC charger. This advanced charger offers a variety of connector options and power outputs ranging from 60 kW to 400 kW, distributed across three frame sizes.

The Harmony Gen 1.5 allows for easy swapping and expansion of power modules, and it features dynamic power sharing capabilities, enabling the simultaneous charging of multiple vehicles.

Equipped with an AI-driven remote management system, the charger enhances the user experience through integrated ambient lighting and an ergonomic cable management system that simplifies the handling of heavy charging cables. Additionally, the ambient lighting not only illuminates dark areas but also displays the charger’s status from a distance.

Designed to be accessible, the Harmony Gen 1.5 complies with PAS standards to ensure ease of use for individuals with physical disabilities.

“Boasting an efficiency rate over 95%, the Harmony Gen 1.5 DC Fast charger is versatile enough to service a broad spectrum of vehicles, from light cars to heavy-duty buses. It features an advanced AI system for remote management that supports predictive maintenance, thereby improving reliability and uptime for charge point operators and end users alike,”

Exicom announced.

The charger also includes models tailored for destination charging, suitable for diverse locations such as malls, urban infrastructure, and office complexes, and comes equipped with a credit card payment terminal for use in international markets.

With the growing preference for DC Fast chargers over their AC counterparts, the global DC fast charging market is set to expand significantly. A recent MarketsandMarkets report projects a 37.6% CAGR from 2020 to 2025, fueled by rising EV adoption, government efforts to boost charging infrastructure, and technological advances in fast charging.

“The newly launched Harmony Gen 1.5 DC Fast chargers perfectly meet the needs of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for installations at dealerships and service stations, as well as charge point operators (CPOs) managing public charging networks.”

Exicom further noted.
