Jeep to Introduce Electric Renegade Priced Below $25,000
An all-electric Jeep Renegade is set to hit the market, with a starting price under $25,000. This announcement was confirmed at Stellantis 2024 Investor Day and marks Jeep’s expansion into more regions. The electric Renegade will join the Wagoneer S and Wrangler-inspired Recon in Jeep’s EV lineup.
Despite being recently named America’s most patriotic brand, Jeep has faced declining sales in the US, dropping 6% to 642,924 units last year, following a 12% decrease in 2022 and a 2% dip in 2021. CEO Antonio Filosa is optimistic that the new electric models will reverse this trend. He stated, “something like 100% will be conquested,” referring to the Wagoneer S, Jeep’s first global EV, and mentioned that they are targeting brands like Tesla.

The Wagoneer S, a luxury electric SUV with a range of up to 300 miles, was unveiled two weeks ago. Jeep has ambitious plans to expand into new markets and strengthen its brand presence. As part of this strategy, the electric Renegade will be launched, priced at “under $25,000.” This move aims to re-enter the small UV market globally and return to the mid-size UV segment in North America. Over the next three years, Jeep plans to expand its lineup from 10 to 13 models and aims to have six all-electric vehicles by 2027.
Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares recently highlighted the affordability of the upcoming Jeep EV, comparing it to the 20,000 Euro Citroen e-C3, and stated that a $25,000 Jeep would be available in the US soon. This model will be the electric Renegade, though it’s unclear if this price includes government incentives.
The affordable Renegade EV will complement the Wagoneer S and Recon in Jeep’s electric portfolio, with the rugged, Wrangler-inspired Recon expected to be revealed later this year.
