EV charger and power electronics startup Zenergize has raised USD 2 million in a seed funding round, signaling growing investor confidence in India’s electric mobility and renewable energy ecosystem. The round was led by notable entrepreneurs Himanshu Aggarwal (Founder, Aspiring Minds) and Mohit Tandon (Co-founder, Delhivery).

Headquartered in Gurugram, Zenergize specializes in advanced power electronics for electric vehicles, solar applications, and other clean energy technologies. The company’s research and development team—comprising graduates from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs)—has been developing custom-designed AC and DC fast chargers along with solar inverters, all tailored for the challenging weather and infrastructure conditions across India and the Global South.

Manufacturing of these products is currently underway at the company’s facility in Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh.

Building for India and Beyond

“India’s diverse climatic conditions and evolving grid infrastructure demand tailor-made EV and renewable solutions,” said Himanshu Aggarwal, Founder of Aspiring Minds. “With the right mix of government policy support and engineering excellence, Zenergize is poised to lead the next phase of innovation in EV chargers, solar inverters, and motor controllers.”

Echoing this vision, Dr. Veer Karan Goyal, CTO and Co-founder of Zenergize, added, “We’re excited to welcome value-driven investors onboard. This funding will accelerate our R&D efforts and help us scale our operations to meet India’s growing need for indigenous power electronics.”

Navneet Daga, CEO and Co-founder, emphasized the company’s focus on service and scale: “Our next-gen technology, combined with a strong support network, positions us to expand nationally while responding to increasing global interest.”

Strategic Growth Ahead

Currently employing 25 team members, Zenergize plans to use the fresh capital to expand its workforce across R&D, sales, production, and service. The company is also pursuing international certifications for its products, paving the way for global market entry.

The funding comes at a crucial juncture for India’s EV mission. The Government of India has set a target of 30% electric vehicle adoption in new private vehicle sales by 2030, translating to approximately 80 million EVs. To meet this demand, the government is pushing for 80% domestic manufacturing of EV chargers with 60–70% localization of critical components.Zenergize aims to align its manufacturing and innovation roadmap with these national targets, contributing to India’s ambition to become a global hub for EV and clean energy technologies.
