Ampere New E-Scooter Sets Records, Book Now at ₹499
In a recent announcement, Greaves Electric Mobility has opened pre-bookings for Ampere New E-Scooter , marking a significant milestone ahead of its official launch.
This new model, dubbed the limited K2K edition, has already made headlines by entering the India Book of Records for two unprecedented achievements during its pre-launch journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari (K2K).
The first record was set when the scooter was used to craft the largest logo for an electric scooter brand on the white sands, creating a massive Ampere logo that spanned 179.8 ft x 95.2 ft, covering an area of 17,100 sq. ft. This remarkable feat took place at Dholavira on Khadir bet island in the Kutch Desert Wildlife Sanctuary, Gujarat, and was officially recognized on February 2, 2024.
Following this, the Ampere team accomplished another feat by towing a pickup truck weighing 1,860 kg, along with an additional 140 kg load, simulating two passengers, over a distance of 2 km in just 15 minutes. This event occurred on the Road to Heaven in Kutch, Gujarat, and was confirmed on February 3, 2024.
These records not only highlight the upcoming electric scooter’s capabilities but also underscore Ampere’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the electric mobility sector. The scooter, expected to hit the market later this year, is anticipated to be the production version of the NXG concept showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo.
Teaser images of the scooter reveal a tech-forward design featuring an LED headlamp with signature LED DRLs, a touchscreen digital console, and four riding modes, promising the largest seat in its category. The Ampere NXG e-scooter will be available in four colors: Zanskar Aqua, Lunar White, Steel Grey, and Indian Red, catering to a wide range of consumer preferences.
