BMW Unveiled the iX xDrive50 Luxury Electric SUV in India: A Detailed Overview

BMW has introduced the iX xDrive50 to the Indian market, marking a significant update over its predecessors with enhanced features and capabilities. This all-electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) has been meticulously designed to cater to both the luxury and performance demands of electric vehicle enthusiasts. Price

The BMW iX xDrive50 sets the stage with an ex-showroom price of INR 1.39 crore. It represents the pinnacle of BMW’s electric vehicle innovation, offering a blend of luxury, performance, and sustainability. This model is available for purchase as a completely built-up unit (CBU) through BMW showrooms across India.

Features

The iX xDrive50 is replete with BMW’s latest technological advancements, including the fifth generation of BMW eDrive technology. It comes equipped with two electric motors, placed on the front and rear axles, enabling intelligent all-wheel drive. This model boasts a multitude of driving modes—Personal, Sport, Efficient—tailored to optimize the driving experience. The inclusion of BMW’s ConnectedDrive technologies further enhances the in-cabin experience with features like the BMW Live Cockpit Professional and Augmented Reality Video navigation. Safety and comfort are also paramount, with the Adaptive 2-axle Air Suspension and Parking Assistant Plus being standard.

Charging Times

BMW has focused on reducing charging times to enhance the convenience for iX xDrive50 owners. The vehicle can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 35 minutes using a 195 kW DC charger. Alternatively, a 50 kW DC charger will accomplish the same in about 97 minutes. For home charging, a 22 kW AC charger can fully charge the vehicle in approximately 5.5 hours, while an 11 kW AC charger takes about 11 hours.

Warranty and Assistance

The BMW iX xDrive50 comes with a standard two-year warranty with unlimited kilometers, an eight-year warranty for the batteries (up to 160,000 kilometers), and a five-year Roadside Assistance package. For extended warranty benefits, BMW offers the Repair Inclusive package, extending coverage up to the fifth year without any mileage limitations.
