Kinetic E-Luna Debuts in India with an Introductory Price of ₹69,990

On February 7, 2024, Kinetic Green unveiled the E-Luna electric scooter, aiming to revolutionize the Indian market much like its predecessor, the Luna, did in 1972. Sulajja Firodia Motwani, the CEO of Kinetic Green, emphasized that the E-Luna targets both Tier 1 and Tier 3 markets in India, focusing on affordability and accessibility.

Price

The E-Luna is launched with two variants, the E-Luna X1 and E-Luna X2, priced at 69,990 Rupees and 74,990 rupees, respectively (ex-showroom). These introductory prices reflect the company’s commitment to maintaining Luna’s legacy of affordability.

Performance

With a range of 110 km and a top speed of 50 km/h, the E-Luna is designed for practical use rather than high performance. It features a dual tubular chassis and 16-inch wheels that provide 170mm of ground clearance, simplifying repairs with its chain transmission system. The electric scooter boasts a 150 kg payload capacity and requires 4 hours for a full charge, catering to personal mobility, business activities, gigs, and efficient delivery services.

Features

The E-Luna stands out for its high customization potential, offering users the flexibility to add various attachments. It includes safety equipment like a grab rail, safety lock, saree guard, and side stand sensor, alongside convenience features such as a USB charging port, bag hook, and spacious carrying area. Its digital interface, enabled by Smart-can communication and KG-connect app connectivity, enhances user experience. Moreover, the scooter’s interchangeable battery system and a 5-year warranty underscore its efficiency and reliability.

Range, Speed, and Specifications

The E-Luna’s 110 km range and 50 km/h top speed are tailored for efficient urban and rural connectivity. Its design and specifications, including a rugged steel chassis, large wheels for better clearance, and a digital dashboard for smart connectivity, position it as a versatile and practical choice for the Indian market.

Design and Looks

Merging traditional moped aesthetics with modern features, the E-Luna sports square-shaped LED lights for a distinctive look. It is available in five colours:

🌈 Mulberry Red

🌈 Ocean Blue

🌈 Pearl Yellow

🌈 Sparkling Green

🌈 Night Star Black, catering to diverse consumer preferences.

Conclusion

The Kinetic Green E-Luna electric scooter is a testament to the brand’s dedication to sustainable and accessible transportation. With its thoughtful pricing, practical performance, and a suite of features designed for the Indian market, the E-Luna is poised to become a popular choice for a wide range of users, continuing the legacy of the original Luna moped.
