myTVS Launches Mobility-as-a-Service to Boost India’s EV Adoption

India’s largest digital automotive aftermarket platform, myTVS, announced its foray into electric vehicle (EV) mobility services with the launch of a nationwide ‘Mobility-as-a-Service’ (MaaS) platform. The service aims to provide comprehensive vehicle management solutions to quick commerce and e-commerce companies that heavily rely on electric two-wheelers.

Rather than owning their own vehicles, fleet operators and businesses can now leverage myTVS’s MaaS services. The platform, part of the $3 billion TVS Mobility Group, plans to introduce 10,000 electric two-wheelers to its fleet by March 2025, competing with industry giants like Uber and Avis.

myTVS is collaborating with key ecosystem partners, including original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), to deliver end-to-end fleet lifecycle services. These include vehicle leasing, real-time fleet management, maintenance, charging infrastructure, telematics, and roadside assistance. Additionally, it offers refurbishment services to enhance fleet efficiency and longevity.

“Our MaaS platform will enable faster growth for last-mile fleet operators,” said G. Srinivasa Raghavan, Managing Director of myTVS. He highlighted that the pan-India network of over 1,000 service outlets ensures efficient and seamless service delivery across the country. The platform is also designed to support India’s EV transition, aligning with corporate sustainability goals.

As part of its launch, myTVS has partnered with MoEVing, a leading EV-based logistics company, to provide tailored solutions for quick commerce players. Vikash Mishra, CEO of MoEVing, emphasized that the collaboration will expand their footprint across India by utilizing myTVS’s technology and service network.

India’s MaaS market, valued at $0.87 billion in 2023, is projected to grow to $4.71 billion by 2030, according to BlueWeave Consulting. This initiative by myTVS is expected to accelerate EV adoption, contributing to the government’s push for green mobility and supporting India’s booming e-commerce sector.

Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) and Its Potential in India’s EV Market

Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) is a user-centered, integrated transport solution that offers immense potential in India’s rapidly growing EV sector. MaaS allows companies to avoid vehicle ownership costs, reduce operational complexity, and focus on optimizing delivery services.

As India’s urban population grows, MaaS presents a solution to rising congestion, pollution, and fuel costs. It provides real-time fleet management, charging solutions, and telematics, helping businesses meet sustainability goals.

MaaS platforms like myTVS are key to overcoming infrastructure barriers to EV adoption. By bundling services like EV leasing, roadside assistance, and charging networks, MaaS can fast-track fleet electrification. This will help India meet its sustainability objectives and accelerate green mobility adoption across sectors.
