Ola Electric Launches New Range of Electric Scooters: The Ola S1 X

The Ola S1 X is the newest model of electric scooters from Ola Electric, which tries to combat the sharp price increase brought on by the removal of FAME 2 subsidies in India. With an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 89,999, the Ola S1 X is an extremely affordable option.

Potential buyers can now test-drive the Ola S1 X electric scooters at Ola Experience Centers across the nation before deciding to buy one. Customers can save up to Rs 57,500 by selecting the base Ola S1 X model with the 2kWh battery pack instead of the range-topping Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 model, which is priced at Rs 1,47,499 (ex-showroom).

The battery pack and electric motor configuration of the Ola S1 X and Ola S1 Air electric scooters are identical. It has a 34-liter boot and a 6kW electric motor positioned on the hub. With a top speed of 90 km/h, the new Ola S1 X range is said to be able to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, according to Ola Electric. The 3kWh variant has a range of 151km, but the claimed range for the 2kWh model is 91km.

Compared to the Ola S1 Air, the Ola S1 X has a more exposed handlebar configuration and a distinctive dual-tone color scheme. The Ola S1 X does, however, have some reduced features, such as a 3.5-inch segmented display, a physical key unlock, and no smartphone connectivity, in order to maintain a competitive pricing.

For those looking for a basic electric scooter without flashy screens or linked electronics, the Ola S1 X range is perfect. The base model is ideal for people who have short daily trips. All things considered, Ola Electric’s new line offers an affordable and useful option for electric transportation in India.
