Svitch Motocorp Unwraps CSR 762 Electric Motorcycle, Set For Early 2024 Launch
Svitch Motocorp, an electric two-wheeler startup based in Ahmedabad, has unveiled its latest creation, the CSR 762 electric motorcycle, showcasing cutting-edge design and technological advancements. The company is confident that the CSR 762 will bring a revolutionary change to the electric motorcycle market. Its official launch is slated to occur within the next 90 days, and it is expected to hit the streets in early 2024.
In the development of this innovative electric motorcycle, Svitch has invested a substantial ₹100 crores, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional quality and performance. The CSR 762 boasts a futuristic design, featuring a fully-faired construction that offers an upright riding position. Its distinct LED daytime running lights contribute to its unique and striking appearance.
Beneath the surface, the Svitch CSR 762 is equipped with a powerful 3 kW (4 bhp) PMS electric motor, delivering a peak power output of 10 kW (13.4 bhp) at 3,800 rpm, along with a peak torque of 165 Nm, tapering down to 55 Nm.
The motorcycle boasts an impressive top speed of 120 kmph and relies on two 3.6 kWh lithium-ion swappable battery packs.
This setup provides an estimated range of 160 km on a single charge, marking a 40 km improvement compared to last year’s specifications. Notable features also include a spacious 40-liter storage compartment, a mobile charger, and a fully enclosed mobile holder.
Raj Patel, the founder of Svitch Motocorp, expressed his excitement about introducing a game-changing electric vehicle to the industry. CEO Chintan Khatri added that the project aligns with the company’s commitment to “Make in India” and contributes to the nation’s economic growth.
While specific details about localization levels, production capacity, and expansion plans remain undisclosed, Svitch Motocorp has announced its intention to kickstart sales with the opening of four exclusive showrooms in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. Additionally, the production facility for the new Svitch Motocorp is likely to be based in Ahmedabad, in line with the Indian government’s “Make in India” initiative.
