Gurugram, 11th September 2023: Shema E-Vehicle & Solar Pvt Ltd (SES), India’s leading manufacturer of electric scooters announced the launch of its new range of high-speed scooters, namely Eagle+ and TUFF+, made with the latest battery technology, for both B2B and B2C segments.

Launched in 2016, Shema Electric was the first company to manufacture its own low-speed electric scooters, under the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The company has consistently delivered top-notch electric scooters through relentless research, innovation and technical excellence. All vehicles are manufactured at its state-of-the-art manufacturing units located in Manesar and Odisha.

Introducing the new segment, Yogesh Kumar Lath, Founder & CEO, said “Shema Electric is shaping the future of Indian mobility with a focus on energy efficiency, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology. On this World EV Day, we reaffirm our commitment to the launch of two new electric scooters, which are meticulously designed to meet the demand for high-speed and robust two-wheelers. We are grateful to our network of dealers, distributors, and customers for their unwavering support as we continue our journey towards a greener country.”

While TUFF+ is a multi-utility EV loader with a loading capacity of 150 kgs and a maximum speed limit of 60 kms/hr, Eagle+ is a passenger two-wheeler offering a maximum speed of 50 kms/hr. Both scooters provide additional accessories such as Bluetooth speakers, an anti-theft alarm, a USB charging port and a central locking system. Eagle+ is powered by Sun Mobility’s IP67 waterproof swappable battery, thereby providing cost-effectiveness to riders, especially for last-mile deliveries.

The scooters are now available for purchase at Shema’s dealer showrooms across India, at an introductory starting price of INR 139,999 for TUFF+ and INR 117,199 for Eagle+ (both ex-showroom prices). It is further applicable for FAME II and state-level subsidies, depending upon the geographies.

The company has forged multiple production partnerships with key EV distributors and marketplaces, having deployed over 20,000 electric vehicles to aggregators till date.

Additionally, Shema Electric markets its products under its own brand name, leveraging an extensive dealer network across India and also provides a seamless after-sales service. With the inclusion of the newly launched scooters to its pre-existing range of scooters and EV loaders, Shema is propelling India into a future of energy-efficient mobility.
