Sokudo Electric India has recently introduced their newest product in Gujarat—the Plus, a non-RTO two-wheeler model. This launch is a strategic move aimed at capturing a significant share of Gujarat’s growing electric vehicle (EV) market.
Price and Range
Sokudo Electric India has introduced their latest non-RTO two-wheeler, the “Plus” model, priced at an accessible Rs. 59,889. This electric scooter is designed to offer a substantial 105 km range per charge, catering primarily to users below 18 and above 60 years old who seek independent, license-free mobility. The Plus model is equipped with a robust LFP battery that is non-explodable and fireproof, enhancing safety for its riders. It also features a CANbus speedometer essential for monitoring battery levels and temperature.
Features
The Plus model integrates top-tier safety standards including compliance with AIS 156 Part 2 norms, commonly mandated for high-speed vehicles. It incorporates a smart Battery Management System (BMS) and an active balancer to ensure optimal battery performance and longevity. This scooter is bolstered by a durable 26kg chassis and high-quality plastic parts that are entirely sourced and manufactured locally, supporting India’s growing EV ecosystem.
Unveiling the Plus Model
Sokudo Electric’s new Plus model launch in Gujarat is not just an introduction of a new product but a strategic entry into the market. Targeting a sales goal of 10,000 units monthly, the company aims to secure 10-15% of the state’s non-RTO market within its first year. The burgeoning EV market in Gujarat has expanded by 714% over the past three years, and Sokudo Electric plans to tap into this rapid growth to become a pivotal player in the region.
Comprehensive Warranty and Local Manufacturing
The Plus scooter comes with an extensive warranty that covers multiple components, such as rear shocker, front shocker, speedometer, motor, controller, and wire harness. This commitment to quality underpins Sokudo Electric’s pledge to contribute to the ‘Make in India’ initiative, thereby fostering local innovations and manufacturing processes.
Strategic Market Positioning
The Plus model from Sokudo Electric is strategically positioned to attract a broad demographic, offering a practical solution for those ineligible for a traditional driving license. By balancing advanced features with cost-efficiency, the scooter is set to appeal to value-conscious consumers who do not want to compromise on performance or safety.
Supporting National Goals
Aligning with the Government of India’s Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024 and the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission, Sokudo Electric is dedicated to enhancing its product lineup with innovative technological integrations. The launch of the Plus model is a step forward in supporting national goals of sustainable mobility and reducing carbon emissions within the transportation sector.
Through these initiatives, Sokudo Electric not only aims to address the market needs but also to contribute significantly towards eco-friendly transportation solutions, reinforcing the national objectives of a cleaner, greener India.
