Vadodara, 28th May, 2025: Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Ltd. (WIML), one of India’s leading EV manufacturers under the brands ‘Joy e-bike’ and ‘Joy e-rik,’ has entered into a strategic partnership with XiCon International Ltd., a Mumbai-based engineering and manufacturing company and a subsidiary of Kaiser Corporation. Through a detailed MoU, XiCon will lease electric scooters from Wardwizard to enhance last-mile delivery solutions, marking its entry into the electric mobility sector and expanding its diversified portfolio across power, telecom, and infrastructure.

Under the agreement, XiCon has placed an order to lease 7,500 units of Wardwizard’s Wolf+ model for the financial year 2025-26 & 2026-27. This large-scale deployment will begin in key metropolitan cities including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Pune, with plans to expand to other regions as operations scale. The MoU outlines a comprehensive framework for deployment, operation, and maintenance of the electric scooters, focusing on enhancing delivery efficiency while promoting eco-friendly transportation. This initiative is geared towards integrating smart, eco-friendly and cost-effective mobility solutions within the growing operations of Xicon in urban logistics, specifically targeting the crucial last-mile delivery sector.

As part of the agreement, Wardwizard will lease the scooters to XiCon and ensure uptime assurance for all vehicles. Wardwizard will also set up service-cum-charging stations and manage all necessary spare parts, batteries and technical support.

Mr. Yatin Gupte, Chairman & Managing Director, Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Limited, stated, “At Wardwizard, we are committed to accelerating the adoption of electric mobility in India through strategic partnerships and innovative business models. Our association with XiCon International is a significant step toward building a robust ecosystem for last-mile connectivity powered by clean energy. By offering reliable and scalable EV solutions, we aim to not only support delivery services but also contribute to India’s larger goal of sustainable urban mobility. We are starting with some major cities and are sure to expand to further cities by the end of this year”

Talking about the association, Ms. Lyla Mehta, Director of Xicon International Limited, said, “This MoU with Wardwizard marks a pivotal moment in our mission to build more sustainable and effective delivery systems. Through this association, Xicon is actively electrifying its fleet and contributing to the advancement of sustainable mobility. The Wolf+ scooters are perfect for navigating city streets and will allow us to provide a truly eco-friendly and affordable option for those critical final miles of delivery. We’re look forward to seeing the electric scooters on the road and to grow this partnership for mutual and long-term benefit.”

Operationally, XiCon will manage vehicle allocation, third-party delivery tie-ups, app development, and marketing initiatives to ensure maximum utilization. Rider training will be jointly undertaken by both companies. In terms of branding, all service centers and stores will be co-branded, and Wardwizard Innovations and Mobility will provide demo units for promotional activities. Furthermore, Wardwizard Innovations will ensure all leased scooters and oversee any claim processes.

These partnerships mark a significant step forward in Wardwizard’s vision of creating a robust electric mobility ecosystem and reaffirm the company’s commitment to delivering clean, efficient, and scalable EV solutions across India.
