Introducing EV Miles: Powering India’s EV Revolution with Made-in-India Charger Connector
At All India EV, we’re always on the lookout for brands that are making a tangible difference in the Indian EV landscape. Today, we’re excited to introduce EV Miles, a homegrown company that is redefining the EV charging ecosystem with their 100% Made-in-India EV charger connectors. Founded in April 2022, EV Miles is a story of innovation, perseverance, and a shared vision to contribute to India’s clean energy future.
The brains behind this venture are Fazle Malak Amiruddin and Aneri Negandhi, two entrepreneurs with decades of experience in manufacturing and industrial solutions. Their journey into the EV space started from a simple realization — the future of mobility is electric, and they wanted to be part of the movement that would shape a decarbonized India.
“Fazle and I met through a business networking platform,” shares Aneri. “We both had established businesses — Fazle in the printing industry and me in manufacturing industrial plugs and sockets. We realized we shared a common passion for the EV industry and decided to join hands to create something meaningful. With my expertise in manufacturing connectors and Fazle’s investment experience in companies like Magenta EV Mobility, we saw a perfect opportunity to make EV charging solutions right here in India.”
Building India’s First Fully Made-in-India EV Charger Connectors

What makes EV Miles stand out in a competitive market? Their Type-2 charging connectors are built to international standards (IEC 62196-2) and crafted to withstand India’s unique conditions. These connectors are designed to be rugged, reliable, and safe, with granules used in the connector body that are unbreakable and heat-resistant, ensuring maximum performance in both commercial and home charging setups.
But the road to creating a Made-in-India EV connector wasn’t an easy one. The founders had to start from scratch, developing testing jigs for certification bodies and working closely with local vendors to build a 100% indigenous supply chain. It was a journey filled with challenges, but their commitment to the Make-in-India initiative kept them going.
“Even the certification labs didn’t have the necessary equipment to perform certain tests,” recalls Aneri. “We had to build the testing jigs ourselves and provide them to the labs to ensure our products met international standards. That’s the level of effort we’ve put into making our products truly Made in India.”
What Sets EV Miles Apart?
EV Miles’ products are tested rigorously to ensure safety and durability. Their connectors undergo a series of tests, including:
- IEC 62196-2 certification
- Conditional short circuit tests
- IK 08 impact tests
- Vehicle drive-over tests
- IP 54 water and dust protection tests
Each connector also undergoes load bank tests and car charging tests to ensure they meet real-world conditions. What’s more, EV Miles connectors are known for staying cool even under continuous load, a critical safety feature that sets them apart from many competitors.
Catering to Diverse EV Charging Needs
Understanding the diverse requirements of EV users and infrastructure providers, EV Miles currently offers connectors in 16A and 32A ratings for both single-phase and three-phase setups. They’re also working on expanding their product portfolio to align with government-standardized connectors, ensuring they stay ahead of the curve in India’s evolving EV market.
Aligning with India’s Sustainability Goals
As a brand that deeply cares about sustainability, EV Miles is committed to developing next-gen technologies. They’re already in the process of creating V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) and V2L (vehicle-to-load) charging solutions to support the future of smart charging and grid integration.
“We want to be at the forefront of innovation when it comes to future-ready charging technologies,” says Aneri. “India’s EV ecosystem is growing rapidly, and we see an immense opportunity to contribute to the country’s sustainability goals.”
Challenges in Competing with China
One of the biggest challenges EV Miles faces is competing with Chinese products. The high cost of raw materials in India, coupled with rising metal prices, makes it difficult for MSMEs to compete with China’s low-cost offerings.
“Cost is a major challenge,” Fazle admits. “We need more support from the government to ensure Indian MSMEs can sustain and thrive in this space. But despite the challenges, we believe that the opportunities in EV infrastructure development are immense, and we’re here to play our part.”
What’s Next for EV Miles?
Over the next 3-5 years, EV Miles aims to expand their product portfolio to include all types of EV connectors and become a leading player in the EV component manufacturing space. Their goal is to make India self-reliant in EV charging infrastructure and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s clean energy future.
