Let’s DriEV: Green Mobility Innovation in Tier 2 and beyond

Bhubaneswar, Odisha: A new wave of sustainable transportation is sweeping across India as Let’s driEV, an innovative electric vehicle startup, aims to revolutionize commuting in Tier II cities and beyond. Founded in 2020 by a team of experienced professionals, Let’s driEV offers a user-friendly platform for renting electric scooters on a flexible basis, from hourly to monthly subscriptions.

The mission is clear: making personal mobility greener and more accessible. It enables people in a convenient and affordable alternative to traditional vehicles, creating a little less carbon footprint and contributing to a cleaner environment for every Let’s driEV.

Let’s driEV’s platform is designed to be user-friendly, allowing customers to easily locate available scooters, book rides, and pay for their rentals through a mobile app. The company’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond its electric vehicles, as it also prioritizes eco-friendly practices in its operations and partnerships.

Let’s driEV: Expanding Its Reach Beyond B2C

Recognizing the burgeoning e-commerce industry, Let’s driEV is also exploring last-mile delivery services as a promising avenue for growth. By providing electric scooters for delivery personnel, the company aims to contribute to a more sustainable and efficient supply chain.

As part of YourStory’s Tech30 cohort for 2023, Let’s driEV has garnered considerable attention and traction. The startup currently boasts a customer base of over 11,000 individuals, with a waiting list of over 1,900 for its popular monthly subscription product.

While its business model shares similarities with companies like Bounce and Yulu, Let’s driEV differentiates itself by offering outright ownership of the e-scooter for the duration of the lease. This unique approach provides customers with greater flexibility and control over their transportation options.

Zypp, another prominent player in the segment, poses a significant B2B competition to Let’s driEV. However, the startup’s focus on customer satisfaction, innovative offerings, and strategic partnerships positions it well to compete effectively.

Let’s driEV’s e-scooters, which are leased from manufacturers, offer a reliable range of approximately 50-75 kilometers per charging cycle, depending on the chosen variant. These vehicles can be conveniently charged at home or at public EV charging stations, providing customers with flexibility and convenience.

Let’s driEV: A Thriving Electric Mobility Business

The company offers flexible leasing options for its e-scooters, catering to various customer needs. Its community model charges users based on ride duration and distance, while its city model provides competitive rates for short-term, weekly, and monthly rentals.

Let’s driEV’s B2B collaborations further contribute to its revenue streams. Through fleet rentals and contractual arrangements for last-mile delivery services, the company partners with businesses to provide sustainable transportation solutions.

In the last fiscal year, Let’s driEV recorded impressive revenue of Rs 1.5 crore. Building on this momentum, the company is projected to surpass this figure in the current fiscal year, having already generated Rs 1.3 crore.

Let’s driEV Gears Up for Expansion with Strong Financial Performance

With a strong foundation in Bhubaneswar, Let’s driEV is now focused on expanding its fleet size in the city to up to 2,000 vehicles. This expansion will enhance accessibility and meet the growing demand for sustainable transportation options.

Looking ahead, the startup plans to enter three new cities in the upcoming fiscal year. This strategic move will allow the company to reach a wider customer base and further solidify its position in the electric mobility market.

In addition to expanding its geographic footprint, the company is exploring new revenue sources beyond its core vehicle rental business. This diversification will strengthen the company’s financial position and provide opportunities for long-term growth.

To support its ambitious expansion plans, Let’s driEV is actively seeking funding. The additional capital will enable the startup to invest in its fleet, infrastructure, and technology, ensuring its continued success in Bhubaneswar and beyond.
