The Number: Up to 762 km (WLTP) range with a 94 kWh battery and 800V architecture.

The Impact: This positions the C-Class EV as one of the longest-range premium electric sedans globally, directly challenging rivals in efficiency, charging speed, and performance.

The Core News

The Mercedes-Benz unveils all-new electric C-Class with up to 762km range announcement signals a strategic shift in the brand’s electrification roadmap, where legacy ICE nameplates are being transitioned into dedicated EV platforms. Built on the new MB.EA architecture, the electric C-Class integrates an 800V system designed for both high efficiency and ultra-fast charging.

Technically, the model is anchored by a 94 kWh battery pack paired with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup producing nearly 489 hp and 800 Nm torque. The sedan accelerates from 0–100 km/h in around 4 seconds, while supporting DC fast charging up to ~330 kW, enabling ~325 km of range in just 10 minutes.

From an engineering standpoint, Mercedes is focusing on efficiency-led innovation rather than just performance. Features like a two-speed transmission on the rear axle, rear-wheel steering, and a drag coefficient of around 0.22 highlight a design approach aimed at optimizing both highway range and urban usability.
