In a significant move towards sustainable EV innovation, Volektra and Jendamark India Pvt. Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bring magnet-free electric motor technology to industrial production in India.

  • Under the MoU, Jendamark will serve as the industrialisation and production partner for Volektra’s cutting-edge Virtual Magnet Motor (VMM) platform.
  • The VMM platform eliminates the need for rare-earth magnets, offering a cost-effective and sustainable alternative for micro-mobility and electric vehicle (EV) applications.
  • Jendamark, known for its high-precision automated production lines, will help scale Volektra’s motor technology for commercial deployment across the EV sector.

The collaboration aims to reduce dependence on rare-earth elements, a critical challenge in the global EV supply chain.
Volektra’s magnet-free motor technology offers a lighter, scalable, and more environmentally friendly alternative—particularly relevant for India’s growing micro-mobility and low-speed EV market.

This MoU aligns with India’s focus on localising advanced EV technologies, promoting Aatmanirbhar Bharat, and building a self-reliant clean-tech manufacturing ecosystem.

“This partnership is a step forward in redefining how electric motors are produced in India, with an emphasis on sustainability, innovation, and scalability,” a company spokesperson said.
